ZigZag is an abstract series of perfectly looped animations.
It is intended to have a liminal, dreamlike quality where the events in these short videos follow their own logic, that doesn’t quite obey the rules of our reality, but makes sense within its own vacuum.

For this project I did the 3D Character and Environment Modelling, as well as the Animations and the Sound Design.
The style of this animation is reminiscent of the Playstation 1 (PS1) graphics and is meant to play on a nostalgic dream core quality.
Everything is low poly and using low resolution textures, the animation is meant to mimic the old animations of PS1 games, where you would have game developers trying to animate and the animations would end up having this janky, charming quality.
The sound design is meant to sound strange and alien. The dialogue is unintelligable, and even when translated via text the conversations are strange, with a certain rudeness and hostility.
The environment sounds spacy and digital, like a lot of the early 2000s media did, this aesthetic of dark futurism that gripped that era and were present in games like ‘Halo: Combat Evolved’ and ‘Red Faction’ and many other games, films and media of the time.
Below are the 3 looped videos.
