Vampire the Masquerade (VTM) is a role playing game franchise set in ‘The World of Darkness’.
It is a beloved franchise for its story telling, strong early 2000s gothic atmosphere and passionate community.
So passionate in fact that they are the reason for this project.

A remake of the old and beloved ‘Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption’ game.
A reimagining of this game that was originally in the ‘Top Down’ perspective, now created in First and Third person perspective with a more modern engine.
Similar to the most popular game in the franchise ‘Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines’.
My contribution was to make a track for this game.
Since a lot of the fan base have never played ‘Redemption’ but have played ‘Bloodlines’, the track I made was sort of an in between.
Very bloodlines inspired, but fresh enough to be tied to its own game.
The bloodlines theme song was inspired heavily off Massive Attack’s ‘Angel’.
Angel by Mass Attack
However they could not use the song, so Rik Schaffer (The creator of the Bloodlines soundtrack) made a legal rendition of the song that had a similar vibe, but was not ‘Angel’.
In the same way we could not use Rik Schaffer’s songs from ‘Bloodline’.
So I thought it fitting and kind of poetic, to make a legally distinct rendition of a legally distinct rendition.
This idea was well received and the end result came out well.
The track was produced and mixed by me, it is inspired with elements of both Bloodline’s and Redemption’s soundtrack, with a focus on dark ambience and ear candy.
The track starts off reminiscent of Bloodline’s theme song, then gradually morphs into a more gritty, heavy ‘combat music’ type of sound with distorted electric guitars and high energy drums.
